ベネッセアートサイト直島
Benesse House, the central feature of Benesse Art Site Naoshima, combines multiple functions—museum, hotel, restaurant, and spa. The main building is the Museum, which is located on a hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. Designed by Tadao Ando and completed in 1992, the natural surroundings of the island penetrate the architecture through large apertures. Permanent, unique site-specific works have been created for Benesse House. Some commissioned artists have incorporated projects within the architectural space, while others have been influenced by the landscape to create works along the seashore and in the forests. In order to provide visitors with an opportunity to comfortably experience the artworks in the shifting light of the day, overnight accommodations are available at Oval (1995), and the wood-structures, Park and Beach (2006), located on a clearing near the seashore, down the hill from the museum. All were designed by Tadao Ando. With restaurants, a café, and a spa available to overnight guests, as well as day visitors, we provide a pleasant and enriching experience of the island.
ベネッセハウスは、美術館とホテルの機能を複合した、ベネッセアートサイト直島の中核となる施設です。瀬戸内海を望む高台に建ち、大きな開口部から島の自然を内部へと導き入れる構造の「ミュージアム」は、安藤忠雄の設計によって1992年に完成しました。島へ招聘された作家たちのある者は建築空間を取り込みながら、ある者は建物を飛び出して海岸や林の中に、直島、そしてベネッセハウスという場でしか成立し得ない作品を「サイトスペシフィック・ワーク」として制作。館の内外に永久展示されています。またうつろう時間や光の中でゆったりと作品と向かい合っていただくために、宿泊者専用の「オーバル」（95年）をはじめ、丘の下に開けた海べりには木造2階建ての「パーク」｢ビーチ」（06年）という2つの宿泊棟を、いずれも安藤忠雄の設計で完成させました。一般の方もご利用できるレストラン、カフェ、スパと合わせ、島での滞在をより快適で充実した経験にしていただけます。
Art アート
Site-specific works and the permanent collection are housed in the museum. Outdoor artworks are on the museum site, and temporary exhibitions are held at the Ping Pong Gallery in Honmura.

Hotel ホテル
Four hotel facilities—Museum, at the museum building; Oval, in an annex overlooking the museum; and Park and Beach, by the seashore—are available, and each features artwork in the guest rooms.
美術館に併設されたミュージアム、ミュージアムを見下ろす丘の上のオーバル、海べりに建つパークとビーチ。全客室にアート作品を配した、4棟のホテルをご用意しました。
Restaurant & Café レストラン・カフェ
The Museum building has a Japanese restaurant, Issen, and a café where one can relax between viewings. Park hosts the modern French Terrace Restaurant, where one can enjoy fresh ingredients from the Seto Inland area.
ミュージアム棟は日本料理「一扇」と鑑賞の合間にお立ち寄りいただけるカフェ、パーク棟は瀬戸内周辺の新鮮な食材を生かしたモダンフレンチ「テラスレストラン」をお楽しみ下さい。
Shop ショップ
The Museum Shop, adjacent to the café, and Shop at Park both sell Naoshima exhibition catalogues, art books, and products produced especially for Benesse Art Site Naoshima.
ミュージアムカフェに併設されたミュージアムショップ、パークのベネッセハウスショップでは、直島で行われた展覧会のカタログや作品集、オリジナルグッズを取り扱っています。
Spa スパ
Benesse House Spa, located in the Park, provides the opportunity to refresh mind and body with a variety of treatments, such as aromatherapy with plant-based essential oils and thalassotherapy, which utilizes the richness of the ocean.
パークに併設したベネッセハウススパでは、植物性オイルを用いたアロマセラピー、海の恵みを取り入れるタラソセラピーなど多彩なメニューで心身のリフレッシュをお手伝いします。
